On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Vijay, chief of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, announced several welfare promises for women in Tamil Nadu. He said that if his party forms the government, women will receive Rs 2500 every month. The party also promised 8 grams of gold for girls’ marriage, free bus travel, six free gas cylinders each year, and sanitary pads through ration shops.
