No More Extra Charges In Hotels?

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has directed hotels and restaurants not to impose additional charges such as LPG fees or fuel recovery costs on customers. It clarified that only applicable taxes can be added to menu prices, while all other expenses must already be included. Violations will invite strict action. Consumers can report such charges through the National Consumer Helpline (1915), NCH app, or e-Jagriti portal.
