Ravi Varma’s Painting Fetches ₹167 Crore

A painting inspired by young Krishna watching Yashoda milking cows, created by Raja Ravi Varma, was sold for ₹167 crore at a Saffron Art Spring Live auction in Mumbai. The artwork was purchased by Cyrus Poonawalla, marking one of the highest prices ever for an Indian painting at auction.
