High‑Stake Voting Underway in Assam, Kerala & Puducherry

Voting in the 2026 Assembly elections in Assam, Kerala and Puducherry continued strongly by 12:50 pm on April 9. Midday figures showed Assam at about 39%, Kerala around 33%, and Puducherry near 37% turnout so far, as millions cast votes in the high‑stakes polls.
