The Supreme Court has observed that restricting entry to temples and mutts for certain groups could harm Hinduism and create divisions in society. Hearing Sabarimala-related petitions, the bench stressed that all devotees must have equal access. It noted exclusionary practices are “not good for Hinduism” and may weaken social unity, urging inclusivity in religious spaces.
