112 Crore Demand Behind ‘LIK’ Title Change

Filmmaker Vignesh Shivan revealed that his film was initially titled “LIC” (Love Insurance Company), but the official company demanded a massive ₹112 crore just to use the name. Unable to afford it, he considered alternatives like LIP, LIT, LIK, and LIF. Interestingly, the “Kompany” tone reminded audiences of characters Uyir and Ulag, earning positive feedback after release.
