In a major blow to consumers, petrol and diesel prices across India were increased by nearly ₹3 per litre on Friday. In Delhi, petrol now costs ₹97.77 while diesel reached ₹90.67. The hike comes amid rising global crude oil prices and West Asia tensions, raising fears of fresh inflation and higher transport costs nationwide.
