A viral social media video claimed that ants gathered around a car’s fuel cap because of E20 petrol. Responding to the claim, Bharat Petroleum said it has no scientific basis. The company clarified that fuel grade ethanol contains no residual sugar and includes insect repellent substances. BPCL stated that E20 fuel does not attract ants or other insects.
