Massive 1,500-km Monsoon Band Across India

A satellite has captured a stunning 1,500-km-long monsoon rain band stretching from West Bengal to Jammu and Kashmir, signaling a stronger southwest monsoon. Meteorologists say the developing monsoon trough could trigger widespread rainfall and thunderstorms across north India between July 1 and 4, bringing relief from prolonged heat.
