BSNL has launched a satellite phone priced at ₹1.34 lakh, designed for areas without mobile network coverage. The device supports satellite-based voice calls, SMS, emergency assistance, and long battery life. It is primarily meant for defence, maritime, disaster response, mining, and remote operations, with government authorization required for use.
