Centre Plans Two Wheeler Ambulances for Emergency Care

The Centre has proposed a draft framework to introduce two wheeler ambulances across India from October 1, 2027. The initiative aims to improve emergency medical response in rural, remote and hilly regions where conventional ambulances often face accessibility challenges. The new rules will create a legal framework for operating bike ambulances nationwide.
