Tamil Nadu CM Vijay apologised to the Opposition in the Assembly after Forest Minister Ranjith Kumar referred to former CM Karunanidhi directly without using the customary respectful reference. The remarks drew strong objections from DMK members, following which Vijay admitted the minister was wrong and apologised on his behalf.
