TikTok To Pay $400 Million In Child Privacy Case

TikTok and ByteDance have agreed to pay $400 million to settle a US Justice Department lawsuit over alleged violations of children’s privacy laws. The DOJ accused TikTok of collecting personal information from users under 13 without proper parental consent. TikTok will pay $300 million immediately and another $100 million later.
