Air India has terminated the pilot-in-command of its Phuket to Delhi flight (AI2379) after he tested positive for a psychoactive substance. The flight on August 4th experienced a sudden 300-foot plunge over Odisha, leaving several passengers injured. Immediately after the incident, the airlines launched an investigation and exactly a month later, it had sacked the pilot over violations of safety, fitness or regulatory requirements.
