A picnic turned into a tragedy for a group from Pune. Eight Class 11 and 12 students drowned on Thursday after going into the sea at Diveagar beach in Raigad district. They were part of a group of 48 people from a coaching academy. They couldn’t judge the water depth and strong current and got swept away. Rescue teams later recovered all the bodies.
