Covid-19 strikes IPL again!

The scare of Covid-19 has hit the Indian Premier League yet again and one player has tested positive for the virus. Going into details, SunRisers Hyderabad bowler T Natarajan has tested Covid-19 positive at a scheduled TR-PCR test and he isolated himself.

Also the medical teams have identified six people who are said to be in close contact with Natarajan. All-rounder Vijay Shankar is one among the six people while the rest of the support staff of SRH team.

This is a major blow and there is a panic in SRH camp too ahead of their clash with Delhi Capitals later in the night.

But in a relief the medical teams conducted Covid-19 test for the rest of the SRH team and all of them tested negative. So the IPL governing body has confirmed that SRH’s match with Delhi Capitals will go ahead as per the schedule.

If one more player from SRH or any other team tests positive for the novel virus, there could be huge doubts on the continuation of the second phase of IPL.
