David Warner Gives A Befitting Reply To SRH

Australian star cricketer David Warner witnessed the ultimate low phase of his career just a couple of months ago when he was ruthlessly sacked as a captain and omitted from the playing XI, by Sunrisers Hyderabad. The situation was so worse that the team management didn’t even take him to the stadium. Cut to present, he has now become the player of the tournament in T20 World Cup 2021, for playing a pivotal role in helping his team become the champions.

Warner scored a total of 289 runs with an average of 48.17 in seven matches he played in the tournament. Warner led his team from the front during the semifinal (49 runs) and the final (53 runs), and became a key reason for Australia emerging as the champions.

In a press conference, Warner revealed that he didn’t get much chance to practice due to the lockdown. Thus, he couldn’t perform well in the IPL. SRH management should have backed him and given him enough time to get his mojo back. Instead, they sacked him and humiliated him.

Warner then rose from the ashes like a phoenix and unleashed his potential in the World Cup. With his gameplay, he gave a befitting reply to the SRH management. Many of his fans and teammates have also hit back at the critics who called Warner’s career is over, after watching his IPL performance.

Warner’s wife Candice Warner laughed at critics by tweeting “Out of form!! (laughing emojis).” Australian skipper Aaron Finch said, “Can’t believe people wrote him off saying Warner was done. That’s when he plays his best cricket. Was almost like poking the bear.”

After this stunning show, it has to be seen if the SRH management will retain Warner for the next season.
