KL Rahul Gets Trolled For His Captaincy

KL Rahul has been made the interim skipper of Team Indian for the ongoing ODI series against South Africa, as Rohit Sharma has been rested from the tour due to an injury.

Rahul’s captaincy stint started on a losing note as India lost the first ODI by 31 runs. The visiting team failed to chase the target of 297 runs set by South Africa. India ended up making 265/8 in 50 overs.

Dhawan, Kohli and Shardul Thakur have put on a fight by scoring half-centuries. However, the failure of KL Rahul and the dramatic fall of the middle-order (Rishab Pant, Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer) made India lose the match.

For the last few days, Rahul is also in consideration for the Test captaincy. After witnessing his poor captaincy in this match, he has been facing heavy trolling on social media.

Here are some of them:

This is Rahul’s first List A match as a captain. Now, he has lost the first ODI, first Test and first IPL match as a captain. We have to see if he can manage to lead India to win the series by winning the next two matches. The second ODI will be held on January 21.
