In what could be considered one of the greatest ever comebacks by any team in the IPL, Royal Challengers Bengaluru went from being a zero to an absolute hero.
On May 3rd, RCB was in the 10th position on the table and cut to today, the team is in playoffs thanks to a miraculous turnover.
In the last penultimate game, RCB defeated CSK by 27 runs to qualify for the playoffs. The Bengaluru side showed remarkable resilience and determination to get to the playoffs.
In the game equation, RCB needed to defeat CSK by a margin of 18 runs and they did so by posting a total of 218 and restricting CSK to 191.
From being written off as a worthless team standing in the 10th position on the table to ending up in the 4th position and securing eliminator spot, RCB’s title run has been special.
RCB could be facing either Hyderabad or Rajasthan based on the result of SRH’s game against Punjab today. If SRH wins, it will move to 2nd position and RCB will end up facing Rajasthan who will be in the 3rd position then. Else, if SRH loses the Punjab game, the Hyderabadi side will face RCB.
