4000 Days Record Broken: India Lose To New Zealand

In what has been a pathetic performance from the Indian cricket team, the host nation has lost the test series against New Zealand with a big defeat in the second test a few minutes back.

In the decisive second test match between India and New Zealand, the latter was more clinical with both bat and ball as they won the second game by 113 runs. This is the first time in the history of New Zealand test history that they have beaten India in India.

Moreover, India who proudly ran on a streak of 4000+ days(12 Years), well 4331 days to be precise, without losing a home test series, had to bow to New Zealand today. The defeat in the second test match today means that New Zealand clinch the series by 2-0, making the third test match inconsequential.

Not just that, India had won 18 consecutive series before this one, and were heavy favorites to win all the matches in their pursuit of a finals spot in the WTC. New Zealand, on the other hand, lost 0-2 in Sri Lanka very recently but they put up their A-game against India and created history.
