South Africa Enters world test championship final

The ICC World Test Championship is going to be prestigious this time. South Africa has become the first team to qualify for the championship final. The team defeated Pakistan by two wickets in the first Test on Sunday at Centurion.

With the first spot is locked, there is anticipation about the second spot now. They scored 88 points from 11 games this cycle and then, there are two teams fighting for the second spot. India and Australia remain in contention to book the other vacant spot.

South Africa will play the final which will be held at Lord’s between June 11-15 next year. India and Australia will have fair chance now to play the final match. South Africa are the fourth team to make the WTC final after India (2021 and 2023), defending champions Australia (2023) and inaugural winners New Zealand (2021).

Let us hope that India enters the finals but it is very tough for the team as it struggles in the ongoing BGT.
