Former Team India cricketer Vinod Kambli has been discharged from the hospital after a health scare.
Kambli, who had been battling a serious illness, was admitted to Akriti Hospital in Thane, Mumbai, on December 21 due to a urinary infection. Medical tests revealed that he had a blood clot in his brain. Over the course of two weeks, Kambli underwent treatment and his health gradually improved. On Wednesday evening, at the age of 52, Kambli was discharged from the hospital.
Stepping out in a Team India jersey, Kambli showed off a much slimmer physique, which quickly became the talk of the town, going viral on social media. With a cricket bat in hand, he even played a few shots, signaling his recovery.
In his message to the public, Kambli urged people to stay away from alcohol and drugs. He also extended New Year wishes and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his family, friends, and fans for their unwavering support during his difficult time.
Dr. Shailesh Thakur, the director of Akriti Health City Hospital, and an admirer of Kambli, confirmed that the former cricketer had fully recovered. However, he advised Kambli to continue taking precautions to maintain his health.
