Team India had completed a crucial reinforcement ahead of the Champions Trophy with a comprehensive win over England in the ongoing multi-format series. After having secured the T20 series already, the men in blue had a strong run in the ODI series as well.
In the second ODI game against England last night, India was on the top from start to end with good performances with the ball and bat.
After bowling out England for 304 runs in the first innings, the men in blue were pretty solid with the bat as they chased down the target in just 44 overs.
Captain Rohit Sharma finally returned to top form with a strong performance as he scored a century and looked very confident at the crease. He led the team from the front and was exhibiting his classic batting traits all over again.
With this win, India has won the ODI series against England by winning the first two of the three games. The last ODI game is inconsequential now and it’s just a formality one.
