Sunrisers Hyderabad, last season’s runners-up, are all set for IPL-18. The Hyderabad-based team will be playing their first match today against Rajasthan Royals at the Uppal Stadium on Sunday. The Orange army is pretty excited to witness the fun and excitement.
With hard-hitters like Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Heinrich Klaasen in top form, Hyderabad aims to cross the 300-run mark this season, having breached 250 runs three times last year. The return of all-rounder Nitish Kumar from injury has further strengthened the squad.
On the bowling front, captain and pacer Pat Cummins and Mohammed Shami will carry the main responsibility, while spinner Adam Zampa is expected to play a key role.
Rajasthan Royals, in comparison, appear slightly weaker. Apart from England pacer Jofra Archer, their bowling attack lacks firepower. Although captain Sanju Samson has recovered from a finger injury, his form remains a concern.
With Riyan Parag leading the team for this match, Samson might be used as an impact player. The absence of Jos Buttler further weakens their batting, making them reliant on players like Hetmyer, Dhruv Jurel, Nitish Rana, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
For this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad will be the favourite.
