The inevitable has happened. Sunrisers Hyderabad who were flying high through the entire course of last season with record, breaking scores and happened to start this season with a smashing 286 run innings, have taken a hit.
After a big defeat to Lucknow in the home stadium of Hyderabad, a few days ago, Sunrisers fell flat again today in the game against Delhi Capitals in Vizag.
As we reported earlier, Sunrisers lost four wickets in the powerplay itself and this took a toll on the score. The team ended up getting just 163 runs in the first innings and lost all 10 wickets.
The aggressive brand of cricket that Sunrisers have been playing is not working to its fullest potential now, and this is where the problem is coming up. In fact, both Lucknow and Dilli ended up chasing the target set by Sunrisers in just 16 overs, and this has meant that the net rate has also taken a beating.
Nevertheless, this aggressive style of Cricket was always bound to have repercussions, and the same might be happening now. But there is nothing to be worried about as Hyderabad has such a strong core batting lineup that they can easily bounce back from this situation.
With a bit more awareness and application in the upcoming games, Hyderabad can still go along way in the tournament.
