LSG Wins Over KKR In a Nail-Biting Finish

In the 21st game of Indian Premier League 2025 edition, Lucknow Supergiants won against Kolkata Knight Riders. LSG won the game by 4 runs.

Toss:
KKR won the toss and decided to bowl.

First Innings:
KKR won the toss and invited LSG to bat first. We are unsure of their strategy but it completely failed. The first innings was highly dominated by LSG batsmen. Aiden Markram scored 47 runs while Mitchell Marsh scored 81 runs. Nicholas Pooran scored 87 runs and he is notout. LSG lost only three wickets in 20 overs and scored a huge total of 238 runs. The star bowlers of KKR failed in restricting the LSG batsmen. Vaibhav Arora, Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy could not take any wickets. Harshit Rana was expensive and took two wickets.

Second Innings:
The start of Kolkata Knight Riders batsmen is good but they could not withstand the momentum. Though openers could not impress, Ajinkya Rahane scored 61 runs. He built a partnership with Venkatesh Iyer. But, his departure slowed the game. In the end, Rinku Singh almost snatched the game away from LSG but he is short of four runs.

In a nutshell:
Lucknow Supergiants displayed an amazing game play, especially during the second innings. Despite putting a big total on cards, team LSG had a tough time to defend it. LSG had to adapt multiple strategies as a team but finally, they tasted the victory. Team KKR’s bowling did not help the team and they must work on their batting strategies. Overall. both teams put a great team play on the board.
