The first half of IPL is nearly done and dusted with only one game left to complete the opening half cycle of the season. As expected, the points table is very congested in the middle with multiple teams on identical points.
Delhi is comfortably at the top of the table with five wins and six games while Punjab is second with five wins in seven games.
Gujarat, Bengaluru and Lucknow are tied on four wins each and all of them have eight points in the bag. Kolkata and Mumbai are 6th and 7th respectively with 6 points.
The season is nearly done and dusted for Rajasthan, Chennai and Hyderabad as they are at the bottom of the table with just four points in seven games.
As things stand, we have seven teams containing for the four playoff spots. Delhi and Punjab are likely to make it through as they have comfortable number of points in the bag. It is the other five teams that must quarrel for the remaining two positions.
Bangalore has made it a habit to lose their home games as they have lost three back-to-back games at Chinnaswamy this year. Adding to that, this team has the history of losing crucial games in the second half of the season. On the contrary, we have Mumbai, which is peaking at the right time and can become a menace.
After Match 34 :
– DC Won 5 out of 6 Matches!
– PBKS won 5 out of 7 Matches!
– GT Won 4 out of 6 Matches!
– RCB, LSG won 4 out of 7!
