Foolish & Carelessness: SRH Fans Upset with Ishan Kishan

Sunrisers Hyderabad is putting up a disastrous performance in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. The runner-ups of the last season are playing extremely dull game. On top of that, the team lost quick wickets in today’s game against the Mumbai Indians. What is baffling the SRH fans is Ishan Kishan’s decision to walk out of the field without appealing or taking a review.

The details are as follows:
Deepak Chahar bowled to Ishan Kishan. The delivery appeared to be wide down the leg side with no real appeal from either the bowler or the keeper. However, umpire Vinod Seshan was seen raising his finger.

Technically, Ishan can take a review but he was already on his way back to the dressing room. The irony is that the umpire raised his finger even before a formal appeal was made. Everyone in the stadium, including the players of both teams and even commentators were shocked and surprised.

Many thought that it was a moment of sportsmanship from Ishan Kishan. But, shocking everyone the UltraEdge replay displayed no spike when the ball passed the bat. The visuals even showed a clear gap between the bat and the ball.

At the time of Ishan’s departure, SRH had already lost crucial wickets. Now, the fans call Ishan foolish and careless. They are also raising the match fixing doubts.
