Royal Challengers Bengaluru is one of the peculiar IPL franchisees that are beyond calculations and comprehensions. Despite not having a single IPL trophy till now, they are possibly the most followed and supported team in the league.
However, there are frequent complaints about the lacklustre gameplay of the Bengaluru based side. They had one such bad performance against Hyderabad last night, where they lost by margin of 42 runs in a decisive clash that could’ve propelled them to the top two positions finish.
However, more than the actual result of the game, it was the statement from the stand-in captain Jitesh Sharma that is shocking more RCB fans.
“It is good that we lost the game. Defeats like these will help us determine our strengths and weaknesses.” Jitesh Sharma said after the bad defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
While fans were already gutted with the lost opportunity, this wild statement from the stand-in captain is leaving them clueless. This is the time when teams must be at the top of their game and win every challenge that comes their way. But this fighting spirit was not to be seen in the statement issued by the captain.
RCB is already struggling with the departure of their star bowler, Josh Hazelwood and vaguely injured full-time captain Rajat Patidar. The last thing they would want now is a drop in morale.
