RCB Stampede: 1st RCB Member Arrested

They unfortunate stampede that happened at the Chinnaswamy Stadium during the victory celebrations of Royal Challengers Bengaluru is having serious repercussions now. Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has ordered DGP to take strict action and arrest the representatives of RCB and event organisers for this incident.

In this context, Karnataka police have arrested the first representative of RCB with regard to this case, and he is the marketing head of franchise. A few others have also been arrested, and here is a look into the story.

According to the latest reports, Karnataka Police have arrested Nikhil Sosale (RCB’s Head of Marketing and Revenue), Kiran Kumar (DNA’s Senior Event Manager) and Sunil Mathew (DNA’s Vice President – Business Affairs).

Sosale announced a Victory Parade from Vidhana Soudha to Chinnaswamy without police permission. Despite police denial, the post was not taken down, misleading thousands of fans.
