Blockbuster In IPL, Average For Team India!

For a long time, now, there have been several complaints about the transition of young Indian players from IPL to their actual aspirational positions in the Indian cricket team. Several players who have historically performed well in the IPL have struggled for the national team.

In this context, we have another new case in the form of Sai Sudharshan, who was absolutely untouchable in the IPL. He was so very good with the bat for Gujarat that he won the orange cap this year by scoring more than 700 runs. 

The tremendous performance in the IPL gave Sudharshan a place in the Indian national test team as he is a part of the squad for the England series. 

Sudharshan was given a chance in the playing 11 in the first test match against England, and he was expected to perform relatively well considering his recent form in the IPL.

However, Sudharshan was rather stagnated with the bat as he got out for a duck in the first innings, followed by 30 runs in the second innings. Better things were expected from this extremely talented youngster from Tamil Nadu. 

After a blockbuster performance in the IPL Sudharshan was average with the bat for India, and this is where the real problem has been for many Indian youngsters in recent years.

However, this is rather very early to his start to his cricketing career with the Indian team, as there is a lot of time and scope for improvement. He does have the temperament and technique to sustain in the Indian team, and it is all going to come down to perseverance and dedication.
