CSK Running After Sanju Samson, But…

The Chennai Super Kings franchise is now in a position where they have to find a replacement for their long-term wicket-keeper batsman, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. They have been running after multiple options till now, and the latest developments are suggesting that Sanju Samson is one possible option now.

It is being established that Sanju Samson has made it clear to his existing Rajasthan Royals franchise that he wishes to part ways and find a new team. This has invited interest from the Chennai Super Kings franchise as we had reported earlier.

However, Rajasthan is not in a position to give away Sanju Samson at a throwaway price. Reportedly, they have started negotiating with the Chennai Super Kings franchise and are asking for Ravindra Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad or Shivam Dubey as replacement for Sanju. 

But it must be noted that Chennai is a very tough negotiating franchise, and they are not likely to budge to the pressure that is being exerted by Rajasthan. While A cash trade agreement looks likely it needs to be seen if Chennai would be ready to exchange even one of their players for the sake of Sanju.
