The Indian national cricket team is one of the most popular sporting entities in the world and comments the highest amount of attention in India. This is the reason why the BCCI, which controls Cricket operations in India is the most powerful cricketing board across the globe.
Coming to the topic now, the latest developments are suggesting that the Indian jersey for the upcoming Asia Cup tournament will be without any sponsors.
Previously it was Dream11, which was sponsoring the jersey for the Indian team, and this deal was cancelled recently when the central cabinet banned gaming apps, including Dream11 itself. Subsequently, the Indian team was left without any jersey sponsor, and this will reflect in the fact that the team will not have any sponsor on the clothing of the upcoming Asia Cup.
Generally, we see the Indian jersey with multiple elite sponsors and top grade companies logos printed on it. But that is not going to be the case now after the cancellation of the deal with the Dream11.
Meanwhile, BCCI has already called for new sponsors and the last day to file for the same is September 12. This time the BCCI is very clear about the choice of sponsors as they do not wish to engage with gambling, liquor or other antisocial entities.
