As we had reported earlier, India faced Pakistan for the first time after the disgusting Pahalgam attack. This game was a part of the ongoing Asia Cup tournament, and it was held amidst the calls from Indian supporters to boycott the game due to the earlier terror attack.
However, the game happened anyway, and India ended up beating Pakistan by a very comprehensible margin. India won the game by 6 wickets and had 4 overs to spare.
After the completion of the match, there was something very interesting as Indian players refused to shake hands with the Pakistani players who were seen waiting inside the ropes for the formality.
Generally, after the compilation of the game, it is a common practice for players from both the teams to shake hands. But this wasn’t the case with the game between India and Pakistan last night as Indian players didn’t step out for the formality while Pakistanis were left embarrassingly behind.
Adding to that Indian captain Surya Kumar Yadav stated that the team’s condolences are with the victims of the Pahalgam attack and expressed solidarity with the Indian armed forces.
