According to the latest rankings issued by the ICC, Rohit Sharma is now the number one ranked batsman in ODI cricket. He is the most effective and consistent batsman in the world and that is reflecting in the number 1 ranking that he has achieved. 

At the age of 38, people generally retire from Cricket. But the case of Rohit Sharma is so inspiring that he has reached the number one position on the ranking regardless of the trolls on his fitness and a few people even doubting his proposition to play in the 2027 World Cup. But this is getting answered with the insane comeback of Rohit. 

Rohit was earlier ranked third on the men’s batting ranking table and he has now improved two positions to reach the top after the Australian ODI series. Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran is in number 2 position while Shubham Gill is 3rd on the list.
