Ruthless India Thrash South Africa!

After horrifying defeat in the test series against South Africa, the host nation, India bounced back in the recent ODI series. This is now further consolidated by resounding victory in the opening T20 game that was held in Barabati stadium today.

After being put to bat first India got to 175 runs in the first innings, largely thanks to a smashing knock played by Hardik Pandya, who scored 59 at a brisk pace.

In response to this, South Africa was absolutely clueless with a bat as they got bundled out for 74 runs. None of the South African batsmen could put up a fight with the bat and this reflected in the final scorecard.

In the end, India beat South Africa by a margin of 101 runs and this will go down as one of the biggest victories for India in the T20 format till date. This is a very positive start for India in the ongoing T20 series.

The expectations will now be set on the second T20 game that is going to be played on December 11, and a victory here would pretty much seal the deal for India in this five match T20 series.
