Shocking Stat: Indian Captain And VC in Big Trouble!

India is one of the leading cricketing nations across the globe, and the captain of the side is expected to perform from the front while leading the troops effectively. But that is not even remotely the case with India now as the captain and vice captain are struggling big time.

While India might have completed a big victory against South Africa last night, the performance of Captain Surya Kumar Yadav with the bat has been disappointing again.

This isn’t the first time that Surya Kumar Yadav has been disappointing with the bat as his recent track record has been dissatisfying to say the least. If that is not detrimental enough, it needs to be noted that the performance of vice captain Shubman Gill has been equally disappointing.

Suryakumar Yadav in last 23 T20I Innings:

20(10), 1(4), 39*(24), 1(5), 12(13), 5(11), 0(3), 47*(37), 7*(2), 2(3), 0(4), 14(7), 12(7), 0(3), 1(4), 4(9), 21(17), 75(35), 8(10), 29(14), 8(9), 26(12), 58(26).

Shubman Gill in last 15 T20I innings:

58(39), 13(14), 34(16), 39(37), 20(9), 10(7), 5(8), 47(28), 29(19), 4(3), 12(10), 37(20), 5(10), 15(12), 46(39).

Comparatively Gill has put up relatively better performances than Surya Kumar Yadav, but still, these are ordinary numbers. A lot more is expected from a player who is leading the team and holding the captaincy position.

The point that must be noted, here is that India is still able to win games in the T20 format thanks to collective team efforts. If captain Surya and vice captain manage to come to form, then things could get all the more promising and interesting.
