India Beats South Africa, But With a Twist

Team India has won the five match T20 series against South Africa. This comes after losing the Test series and winning the ODI series earlier. The fifth and final match was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat and turned out to be a high scoring contest.

India batted first and put up a strong total of 231 runs, setting a big target for the South African batting line up. However, South Africa did not back down and started the chase confidently.

By the halfway stage of the second innings, the match was clearly tilting in South Africa’s favour. They were 120 for one after 10 overs and looked well placed to win the game.

This is where the match took a dramatic turn. India tightened the bowling and triggered a collapse in the South African batting order after the tenth over. From a strong position, South Africa lost wickets regularly and managed to score only 201 runs in their 20 overs.

India eventually sealed the match and the series with a strong comeback. With this win, South Africa’s wait for a T20 series victory against India continues, as they have not beaten India in a T20 series for over ten years.
