5 Wickets For 4 Runs: What Was India Doing?

The ongoing T20 World Cup game between India and Namibia was an absolute rollercoaster as India was wildly unpredictable with the bat. After scoring hundred run within seven overs in the first innings, India were expected to post a target in excess of 250.

However, this was followed by a period of slump as the Indian batsman found it hard to get going against spin bowling of Namibia. But the fireworks came towards the end of the innings in the form of Hardik Pandya, as he was lethal with the bat.

But things went wrong again in the final two overs as India ended up losing five wickets and scoring just for run. The scorecard was reading 205-4 while Hardik Pandya was batting, but it got quickly reduced to 209-9 by the closing stages.

India ended up closing losing 5 wickets while scoring 4 runs in the final two overs. This is absolutely pathetic batting from the men in blue after such a strong star that was given by Ishaan Kishan and Sanju Samson.

India might have a competitive score of 209 runs in the end, but such poor batting performances towards the closing stages of the innings can cost heavily against top teams like Australia, South Africa, and England.
