T20 WC: Player Missing, But Good News For India?

India faced a humiliating defeat against South Africa in the ongoing super 8 stages of the T20 cricket World Cup. Subsequently, there is the demand to bring about a few changes in the final composition in order to consolidate the team strength. 

In this connection, something unexpected has happened as lower order batsman Rinku Singh took a break from national duties to tend to his father who is fighting severe illness. While he is projected to come back shortly and join the team training session, the chances are that he might miss the next game against Zimbabwe tomorrow. 

But this departure of Rinku Singh might come as a blessing in disguise for the Indian team. This is primarily due to the poor form that he has been exhibiting.

Not just Rinku Singh been struggling to score runs, but he has also been eating up too many deliveries in the last four games which is denting India’s death over batting. So his exclusion from the team in the crucial game against Zimbabwe, could ultimately help the team itself.

It is being reported that Sanju Samson could be included in the final team for the Zimbabwe game and this would provide him with an opportunity to prove himself in the place of Rinku S Singh, who has not been delivering anyway.
