India is one of the favourites to win the ongoing T20 World Cup, but this proposition was put under serious jeopardy when South Africa was able to beat India comprehensively in the super 8 game.
But the good thing is that India is able to bounce back rather quickly in the game against Zimbabwe, which is currently happening in Chennai.
India made one big change to the batting lineup, and this is the exclusion of Rinku Singh, who had been struggling very badly and has been eating up deliveries at the lower order. In his place, Sanju Samson was brought in at the top of the order, and this has worked well.
Sanju Samson scored a quick 25 from 14 deliveries and gave India a positive start, which was later carried by Abhishek Sharma and Ishaan Kishan. Subsequently, the power play score for India is currently 80 runs at the end of six overs.
The major change that India made in the batting order with the exclusion of Rinku Singh and inclusion of Sanju Samson has worked very well and the results are there to be seen now. Perhaps this is the combination that the team needs for the upcoming stages of the tournament.
