The ongoing T20 World Cup is nearing the climax stage as the semifinals are barely a week from now. On that note, we have an interesting proposition for India as the men in blue are looking to win against West Indies on Sunday and progress to the semi finals.
But there is one crucial point that must be noted here and this is regarding the significant challenge that India is going to face in the later stage of the tournament.
South Africa has been one of the strongest teams in the T20 format for the last couple of years, and they have even managed to beat India in the recent super 8 stage. South Africa really has been the team to beat in the ongoing T20 World Cup as they have been performing to the fullest capacity.
Even England has been doing pretty well, but South Africa is on a different league altogether in terms of batting and bowling. Beating South Africa is going to be a tough task for India, even at the later stages of the tournament, if the progress to the semifinals.
South Africa is already looking to take revenge against India for the earlier defeat in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where victory was attached from their jaws by the Rohit Sharma led team then. In case, India wins the next year against West Indies and goes through for the semifinals, beating South Africa is going to be a big challenge.
