The IPL is going to start in a couple of weeks from now, and the anticipation is building up on the same as fans are preparing for what promises to be an exciting Cricket season.
On that note, we have a latest piece of information regarding Chennai Super Kings and this does not make for good viewing to fans.
Sun TV network has approached the Madras High Court with a civil lawsuit against Chennai Super Kings, asking them to restrict usage of Jailer, Coolie and Jailer 2 songs in their video promos.
The sun TV network has taken offence to the fact that CSK has been sparingly using songs and BGM from Jailer, Coolie and Jailer 2 for their video promos of their players on social media. The production company has approached the Madras High Court on this matter and have called for an injunction order, which would restrict CSK franchise from using this audio material.
In reality, this issue has been going around for several months as the Sun TV had been reprimanding CSK about the usage of their copyrighted audio material. But CSK continued to ignore this and post this stuff.
Now, as a legal measure, the leading production label has approached the Madras High Court on this matter. But the timing of this incident is grabbing all the attention as there are less than 15 days to go for the start of the season.
