Finally, CSK Wins 1st Game in IPL 2026!

Chennai Super Kings went from being one of the most consistent and dominating teams in the history of IPL to rather unpredictable and weak team in recent times. The fact that Chennai has won just three out of the last 16 games in IPL is a clear indication of the same.

However, Chennai has been able to successfully put the challenge behind them in the game against Delhi Capitals as they ended up, ending it by consider marginal.

Batting first Chennai got to a big target of 212 runs. This was largely thanks to a brilliant century from Sanju Samson. While the rest of the team struggled to get big run, it was Sanju who put his hand up and scored a big century.

In response to this, DC started their innings fairly well and got to 60+ runs in the powerplay. But thanks to some poor batting that was displayed in the middle part of the innings, Delhi ended up losing the game by a marginal difference. 

This will handover Chennai Super Kings their first victory in IPL 2026 and fans badly needed this after facing a lot of humiliation in the recent weeks. 

In terms of positioning on the points table, Chennai Super Kings will go from 10th position to 9th position, which is not a big deal, but some kind of start. Now that MS Dhoni is set to return to the team, we have to see if Chennai can carry this momentum forward and put up winning performances in upcoming games.
