Ambulance Enters IPL Match Stadium: What Happened?

Much like any other sport, cricket is also a dangerous activity and we often see fatal incidents on the field. One such activity unfolded today in the game between Delhi and Punjab, as the situation necessitated an ambulance on the field. 

During the course of the game, there was this one bad head injury that affected South African player Lungi Ngidi, who is representing Delhi capitals team.

The South African first bowler hit his head on the ground, and the impact was such that he could not get up after the injury. The support staff initially brought a stretcher to pick the player for medical attention, but this was not sufficient enough.

Subsequently, the officiating team had to bring an ambulance onto the Cricket field, and this is one of the first times that something like this has happened in the IPL. 

It is very rare to see an IPL game, being interrupted by an ambulance necessity, and this happened in the game between Delhi and Punjab today. This visual is viral on social media.

For now, all we can do is pray for the well-being of the South African player who has been badly injured in this game. 

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals have set a massive target of 264 runs, making this one of the most exciting chases of the season.
