End Of Streak: 1st Defeat For Punjab In 2026!

The only team to remain unbeaten in this year’s IPL is Punjab Kings, who had been in absolutely brilliant form from the start. After a glorious 2025 season, where they ended up as the finalists, Punjab were in brilliant sync in the 2026 season as well.

However, Punjab had to face their first ever defeat since the start of the 2026 season as they ended up losing to Rajasthan Royals in a high profile run chase.

Punjab batted first in this game and they scored a pretty decent 222 runs in the first innings. It was expected that Punjab would make a reasonable deal out of this significant target that was in the first innings.

However, Rajasthan were simply too good with their response in the second innings as they ended up chasing the score with a few balls to spare. The way in which Rajasthan closed out this game with Donovan Ferreira and Shubham Dubey was fantastic.

But despite this defeat, Punjab will remain in the first position on the points table while Rajasthan have jumped into the third position. We have RCB in the second position while SRH is 5th.
