Something extremely polarised is happening in the IPL this year as Sunrisers Hyderabad, who were in bottom positions in the first few games have risen to the top. On the other hand, Punjab, which was on the peak form have started to lose games consecutively.
Incidentally, Sunrisers Hyderabad came up against Punjab Kings last night, and this was a high scoring event. Hyderabad batted first and they scored 235 runs in the first innings.
In response to this, Punjab could not start positively, which is something that they have failed to do in the recent past. They got restricted to 202 runs and this was also largely thanks to the stupendous innings from Australian youngster Cooper Connelly.
With this remarkable win against Punjab last night, Hyderabad go to the top position on the points table. This is a very significant result for Hyderabad, considering that they were struggling at the start of this season with hattrick defeats. This is positive news for Hyderabad fans.
On the other hand, Punjab starting to deliver bad news to their own fans as they have been very shaky with their recent games. The fact that they have lost three games, consecutively is clear indication of the poor form.
