Bad Humiliation: World Champions India Got Humbled!

It has been barely a few months since the completion of the T20 World Cup and India won it comfortably in home conditions. But it did not take long for India to get absolutely humbled in recently concluded T-20 series.

India travelled to Ireland for a T20 series, and everyone expected the world champions to absolutely brush away the irish team, regardless of the match situations.

However, the exact opposite turned out to be the case as Ireland ended up beating India in both the games of the T20 series and whitewashed the champions. This is a humiliating result of epic proportion to the Indian T20 team, which is still transitioning from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

After Surya Kumar Yadav got removed as the captain and Shreyas Iyer was appointed in his position, India was expected to deliver great things in the T20 format, but this did not turn out to be the case. In fact, the defeat against Ireland is a very bad result for India, which had only recently been crowned as the world champions.

This is going to be a really tough start for Shreyas Iyer as the captain of the Indian T20 team, and it has to be seen where he would be eventually ending up.
