Whitewashed: India Faces Humiliation In England!

The world champions in T20 format, India faced an extremely challenging situation in the ongoing T20 series against Ireland, followed by the series against England. If losing to Ireland in the two match series was not shocking enough, India ended up getting whitewashed against England.

The fifth and final T20 game between India and England got concluded, just a few minutes back and this completed round of misery and humiliation for the men in blue.

This is essentially a five match T20 series and one got washed away due to rain so it turned out to be a 4 match series. However, India was so very pathetic on the field that they ended up losing all four games.

It wasn’t like any single one of these four games was competitive and nor did India give any real fight to England. It was a complete whitewash from start to finish as the T20 champions could not sustain the billion performances put up by England.

People are commenting that the flat pitches that India had prepared for the IPL have changed the mindset and playing style of the players which is showing a huge effect in foreign series. Needless to say, this will go on as one of the worst performances from India in recent history.

Shreyas has already considered a series defeat to Ireland earlier, and now he has gotten an absolutely whitewashed against England. His start to the captaincy position has turned out to be a horrible one. It has to be seen if he can come back from this position now.
