One of the promising young talents in Indian Cricket Shreyas Iyer had a very bad start to his career as the captain of Indian cricket team. He ended up, loosing every single T20 game that he had captained till now.
This started with the disaster tournament against Ireland, where India ended up losing both the games, which is one of the most shocking results in Cricket till now. This was followed by a complete white wash against England, where team India was absolutely pathetic under his captaincy.
However, we has finally received a positive piece of information as he was able to lead India to their first victory under his captaincy today.
Shreyas, who is the current captain of Indian T20 team managed to hand India, a solid victory against Zimbabwe in the ongoing T20 series. This is the first victory that Shreyas Iyer has tested in his captaincy period, which lasted six games till now.
Which is an extremely concerning start for Shreyas as the new captain of the Indian T20 team, and he needs to turn things around very quickly now. He has managed to get his first victory, albeit against a smaller team like Zimbabwe, but this could boost the confidence that he badly needs now.
